Thomas (Tom) Kelly, Founder and President/CEO 

Tom is a Colorado School of Mines graduate with a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering (1974) and a M. Sc. in Mining Engineering with a Minor in Mineral Economics (1995) from the same institution.  He is an Engineer of Mines, an honor bestowed to Mines graduates who have earned their Master Degree in Mining Engineering at Mines.  Tom is a Fellow of the AustralAsian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Founding Member of the Registered Members of SME.

Tom has worked around the world managing projects small and large.  Some works include the opening of the Deep Ore Zone at the Freeport Indonesia operations, designing and implementing a bench stope with rockfill mining system at the Cannon Mine that has been adopted internationally, implementing a drift-and-fill mining system in Colombia that has resulted in 100% safe extraction of the orebody, managing tin, gold and base metals mining projects and companies.  Tom has also managed exploration projects including the primary stages of the  Platreef Project in South Africa, iron ore exploration in Peru and late stage tin exploration in South America.  

In addition, Tom has served as a Director of Fortuna Silver Mines (Audit Committee member), Andean Gold, Salazar Resources (Audit Committee member), Director of the internal holding company for all of IAMGold's assets in Africa and Latin America and in senior corporate management roles as Chief Operating Officer and as Chief Executive Officer.

Andes Colorado has associates around the world in all mineral industry disciplines that are highly qualified and prepared to work with you toward positive outcomes.  Associates include industry leading professionals in the disciplines of exploration and operations geology, mineral resource estimation, sampling theory and QA/QC, mine engineering, rock mechanics, process plant design and operation, smelting and minerals industry finance.  Andes Colorado also partners, as may be required by specific work, with other highly regarded consultancies to achieve positive outcomes.

SELECT ASSOCIATES

Ron Goodman

Ron is a graduate metallurgist (HNC (Metallurgy) UK) with deep experience (+35 years) in crushing, grinding, flotation (oxides and sulfides), gravity separation, heavy media separation, process controls, tailings disposal and smelting of copper and tin concentrates.  In addition Ron is experienced in the preparation of feasibility studies, due diligence work, technical audits, technical reviews and valuation studies.

Ron has worked with precious metals, base metals, copper, tin, tungsten, uranium, fine coal, molybdenum, graphite, mineral sands and other metals and mediums.  He is recognized internationally as a tin recovery and smelting expert.  In addition, Ron has worked in Process R&D, equipment development, project engineering, operations management and at the senior executive level in corporate management.  Ron is a Member of the AustralAsian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Geoff Challiner

Geoff is a graduate mining engineer, graduating from the Royal School of Mines with a B. Sc. (Honours).  He is a Chartered Engineer from the Institute of Materials, Mining & Metallurgy in the UK.

Geoff's experience covers over thirty-five years’ experience in mining engineering and operations, specializing in underground mines but including open pit operations.  He has undertaken feasibility studies, project management, mine design, planning and costing, analysis of mine performance, recommendations for improvements to mining methods, cost/benefits analysis and detailed financial analyses of company cash flow projections and overall financing.  Geoff has led negotiations with government, contractors, and suppliers.  He has also led numerous study and audit teams at mines worldwide on behalf of mining companies and financial institutions, and been a co-signatory of a number of Competent Persons and Canadian NI 43-101 Reports prepared in accordance with the requirements of various Stock Exchanges.

Michelle Anderson

Ms. Anderson has a Bachelor in Law degree from the Universidad de Lima (Peru), a Post-Graduate Degree in Mining and Environmental Law from the Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas – UPC (Peru), a Post-Graduate Degree in Environmental Law from the Universidad Católica del Perú – PUCP and has substantially completed the work toward a Masters Degree in Gestion Minera (Mine Corporate Administration) from the Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas – UPC  . She is a lawyer specialized in mining, hydrocarbons and environmental law with ample experience in environmental processes and permits related to mineral project development, community relations and social conflict resolution associated with the development of mining projects. She has participated in the exploration and development of the Camisea Gas Project and in various mining projects as a legal consultant regarding environmental and social management, as well as compliance with licenses and permitting.
